These terms govern your use of villarosalaw.ph (the "Site"), operated by Villarosa Law Office (the "Office", "we"). By using the Site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. General information, not legal advice
Content on the Site and on the LexRex Legal Library at lexrex.ph is general information about Philippine law. It is not legal advice and may not reflect the latest laws or rulings. Do not act or refrain from acting based on it without advice from a lawyer on your specific facts.
2. No lawyer and client relationship until engaged
Visiting the Site, sending a message, or booking a consultation does not create a lawyer and client relationship. That relationship begins only after we complete a conflict of interest check and both parties sign a written engagement or the Office confirms the engagement in writing. A consultation is limited to the advice given during it unless an engagement follows.
3. Information you send before engagement
We treat inquiries with discretion and in line with our Privacy policy. Until we confirm there is no conflict of interest, please share only the details needed to identify the parties and the general nature of your concern, and avoid sending confidential documents.
4. Bookings and consultations
Consultations are booked through a Google Calendar booking page. A booked slot is confirmed only when the Office acknowledges it. Consultation fees, if any, and the fees for any later engagement are set out in writing before work begins. We may reschedule or decline a booking, including where a conflict of interest exists.
5. No guarantee of results
Every matter depends on its own facts and the law that applies. Nothing on the Site is a promise or prediction of the outcome of any matter.
6. Intellectual property
The Site's text, design, logo and other materials belong to the Office or are used with permission. You may view and share links to Site pages for personal, non commercial use. You may not copy, republish or sell its content without our written consent.
7. Third party links and services
The Site links to services we do not control, such as Google Calendar and other websites. We are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.
8. Limitation of liability
The Site is provided as is. To the extent allowed by law, the Office is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the Site or reliance on its general content, or from interruptions, errors or viruses. This does not limit our professional duties to clients under an engagement.
9. Professional rules
The Site is maintained in keeping with the Code of Professional Responsibility and Accountability. Atty. Bryan Alvin Rommel Y. Villarosa is admitted to practice law in the Philippines (Roll of Attorneys No. 100817) and is responsible for the Site's content.
10. Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any dispute arising from the use of the Site shall be filed exclusively in the proper courts of Bacolod City.
